The Mean Well HLG-185H-24A sits in the middle of the HLG series by output and earns its place in builds where 185W at 24V is exactly what is needed and a fixed output driver is not flexible enough. The A-type designation means the output voltage and current are both adjustable via a built-in potentiometer, letting integrators fine-tune the drive level directly on the unit without an external controller or additional hardware.

At 7.8A and up to 185W, it is sized for moderate runs of 24V LED tape and smaller multi-zone installs where a 320W or 600W unit would be oversized. Efficiency hits 94% across the series, fanless cooling keeps it silent and low-maintenance, and the operating temperature range of -40°C to 90°C covers virtually any environment the unit will realistically be installed in.

IP65 rated, it handles dust and low-pressure water exposure, making it appropriate for protected exterior installations and indoor environments where moisture is a consideration. Input voltage spans 90 to 305V AC, covering domestic and international circuits without modification. Chassis mount form factor with wire lead output keeps the install clean and straightforward, and the unit carries a 7-year manufacturer’s warranty.
