The DMX5408 is built for productions that demand precise, high-output control across every color channel. A 5-channel DMX decoder engineered for full RGBAW configurations, it delivers up to 8 amps per channel at 12-24V DC across five independent output channels, scaling from compact single-zone installs to large multi-zone productions without a second unit in the rack.
Where the DMX5408 earns its place on demanding builds is in the details. PWM frequency is selectable between 5,000 and 30,000 Hz, with the higher setting specifically suited for studio and broadcast environments where flicker and low-level audio interference are real concerns. Eight or 16-bit dimming resolution gives operators precise control at the low end of the dimming curve, where cheaper decoders fall apart. A built-in digital display handles DMX address assignment, PWM configuration, and dimming curve selection directly on the unit — no laptop required on the install.
